Panacea 2014

2014 has been a big year for us at Panacea. 9 new members of staff, an office expansion and the signing of numerous new contracts, has made this a year that we will not forget in a hurry!

After winning a significant contract at the very end of 2013 with a highly reputable generics company, we moved confidently into 2014 with the aim of continuous growth. Having then won further contracts covering both ad-hoc and long term projects in the PV department, our flourishing Regulatory Affairs division also won a further significant contract in 2014. Due to the consequential increase in workload, we welcomed 9 new staff members to our team. Having started with just 5 staff members 6 years ago, Panacea now employs a total of 27 staff, 25 based on the Island and 2 based in the UK.

Sally AwardsAttending multiple training courses and conferences forms part of any pharmaceutical company’s calendar. The biggest conference, CPhI, was attended by a strong team of 6 from Panacea. CPhI provides us with the perfect platform to meet the majority of our current clients and develop multiple prospective leads. We look forward to continuing to build and maintain excellent relationships with our clients during 2015.

Since our founding in 2008, we have maintained an ethos of encouraging staff to take part in active events both outside and during work hours. Throughout 2014, our staff members competed in a number of events including: an off-road charity relay run (The Millennium Way Relay), The Isle of Man Marathon, “Granite Mann” (the first off-road Triathlon based on the island) and finally “The Children’s Centre Adventure Team Challenge”. Enjoying and taking part in thesePanacea - Commonwealth Gamesevents allowed us to improve on our team building skills, whilst raising money for worthwhile causes. We were also Champions for ‘Team Isle of Man’ at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games and as a result, were privileged to have a visit from the Commonwealth Baton during its relay. Having enjoyed an action packed 2014, we are already looking ahead for fresh challenges to take part in next year!

Looking forward to 2015, Panacea will look to continue with its strategic vision and maintain the continued growth we have seen since our beginning. Having an already well-established Pharmacovigilance department, we will seek to continue to provide the highest quality of work from our PV division, whilst encouraging further growth within our Regulatory Department. We are also keen to bring our knowledge and experience of the Medical Device sector to the forefront of the Panacea service offerings. Having already built relationships with various device manufacturers, in a market which is expected to be valued globally at around £2.5 billion in 2020, the future is looking bright for the Medical Device market and our related service provisions, here at Panacea.

From all here at Panacea, we wish you a happy end to the year and a prosperous 2015!
