Panacea sponsored the top award presented during CPhI Worldwide – the most prestigious international exhibition for the pharma sector. CPhI was held at Paris Nord Villepinte, France, from October 7th to 9th and attracted 2,500 exhibitors and around 37,000 senior pharma professionals from more than 140 countries. Panacea sponsored the Company of the Year category in the inaugural Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards which were held during the expo. Amneal Pharmaceuticals won the award, which was presented by Sally Francis, Senior QPPV (Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance) at Panacea. Also representing the company at CPhI were founder Stuart Colligon; Technical Director Dan McKay; and Client Development and Corporate Communications specialist Sam Tipper. Mr McKay commented:
“We were very proud to sponsor the Company of the Year category at the Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards. Attending CPhI Worldwide, which is now in its 25th year, is essential for all leading pharma businesses, so it’s vital that we were represented – and being an awards sponsor helped to further raise our profile this year.’’
This was the fourth year in succession that Panacea has attended CPhI Worldwide. The expo provides a unique opportunity to get a detailed understanding of the latest industry developments, and market news via a number of seminars and briefings. In total, there were around 2,500 exhibitors in 20 specialist sectors of the pharma industry, covering APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), excipients, finished formulations, contract services, packaging, machinery and more. Once again, the expo also provided excellent networking opportunities with representatives from companies based in established markets – including China, India and the USA – and emerging markets such as Turkey, Russia and Malaysia.
